KINGDOM ADVISORY COUNCIL

 The Kingdom Advisory Council was birthed out of a vision from its founder, Stan Colbert, back in the late 1990’s. While working in the automotive industry, Stan was exposed to several men who needed Godly counsel and insight into their businesses. Due to the high demand of their jobs and the pressing demand to always be there for the business, a dream was born. Over the next several years small deposits of affirmations and encouragement came to birth the vision of this organization. 

In 2005 Stan met with an individual over the next year, at the World Prayer Center, once a month. It was during these times of praying and fasting together that the Holy Spirit began to speak specifically to each of us. To my friend, it was how the Lord would begin to build his ministry, and to Stan; to begin to build God’s Kingdom in the business arena, specifically mentoring and discipling men in business. 

In 2007 the founder became duly inspired to write a book to God’s modern-day kings. The name of the book would be: The Pathway of a King. While at the height of his professional career, Stan started writing the book. He knew that out of his own merit and lack of education in writing that this would be a difficult task. In his heart he always knew that there was a deposit in him to write something, but never this. That’s when the Holy Spirit led him to this passage of scripture to encourage him:   1 Corinthians 2:10-13, says: The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.  This became his anchor to begin the assignment given to him. 

On several accounts after this encouragement from the Holy Spirit Stan was instructed and prodded to prophetically write the book, The Pathway of a King. He was given specific instructions not to read any other books on the subject matter at this time; only study the Bible and what it has to say about God’s kingdom and those who participated. Through this journey the Holy Spirit began to bring revelation through the word of God for this generation of future kings. The mission: To point these individuals to Jesus Christ and His kingdom, nothing more and nothing less. 

During the time of writing the book, several revelations came to Stan. First of all, if he was to be the king that God was calling him to be, he has to start acting like it. He learned that you can’t look at your present circumstances and where you are today, but you have to begin to see your “future-self”, and what God is calling you to. Secondly, he was to experience everything today’s future kings are going through. In a world where economic times are tough and the recession was growing stronger, he had to experience a tearing away of everything that was gained. He would not be able to relate to these individuals if he had not experienced it first. This is what makes this author and founder different: he has gone through the failures and successes himself; this was not a research paper, but a reality for him and his family. 

Since the completion of the book, Stan has been meeting with various businessmen across the greater area of Colorado and Texas, field-testing the book in study groups. The goal was to see how the content would affect those participating and whether it was relevant for today. The outcome has been purely positive. Those participating in these study groups have reported dynamic changes in the way they perceive their role in God’s kingdom, and the importance along with the relevance they have in the area of business. This service provided to these businessmen has been a course correction in the way they live their lives and conduct their business. 

Now this opportunity is being made available to all who want to participate. The Kingdom Advisory Council has been formed to come into one’s business or personal life and bring Godly spiritual counsel. It helps to assess and realign that business into a Kingdom operation and to help the leaders of that organization find their personal course correction they need. The spiritual principle we follow is to work with the leaders of business and community first, then once they begin to make the necessary changes to lead themselves, the outcome of those changes will flow down through the organization to their people and processes as well.
